I'd been trying for months to solve a "shimmy" and then "jam" when closing problem with my 70's era, very heavy wood garage door. After spending yet another full day messing around with this thing and still… More getting nowhere, I called AllGood. A real live person very promptly answered the phone (no frustrating phone tree answering procedures). He listened to my description of the problem and said he could have a technician at my home the next day (on a Saturday, no less). I quizzed the person that answered my call about potential costs and he was very forthcoming with his answers and assured me that his company was not in the business of "hard up-selling" their customers and that if I didn't like the solutions that the tech would offer that all I'd owe was a $69 trip charge. Sounded fair enough to me.So the next morning I get a call from "Trevor" advising me he is 12 minutes away and could he come now for what was initially scheduled for an afternoon appointment. I was happy to agree. After a few minutes of checking things out Trevor advised me exactly what he thought was causing the problem and gave me 3 options for the fix. One of the options was for me to go to Home Depot and purchase certain relatively inexpensive components and replace them myself. The other two options were for him to replace both pulleys and rollers... or... just the pulleys alone. I was skeptical because I was certain that the pulleys and the rollers were turning freely (when not under a load, as I had checked them individually myself during my work on the door). Trevor grinned and said very politely, yet confidently, that he'd been doing this work for 10 years and he was absolutely certain that this would fix my problem. So I signed off on the full rollers and pulleys replacement.20 minutes later the thing was operating as smoothly as it was when it was brand new. I was totally blown away!!! So... This was a very honest company. I called them because I had what I thought was a very high price to install a door from another company.
